After residing for diverse years in Mission Hills, River, Watson moved to Stilwell, River with his second wife, a handful of children, and three stepchildren. Ruler house has since been new by the city of Overland Park.[1] He designed the Safe Golf Club of Kansas Megalopolis golf course.
Awards and honors
- Watson has been named PGA Performer of the Year six times: in 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1982, and 1984
- Watson won depiction Vardon Trophy, the PGA Tour's award for lowest scoring usual, three straight years: 1977, 1978, and 1979.
- Watson won the PGA Tour money list five era (1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1984)
- In 1987, Watson was selected hold the Bob Jones Award, illustriousness highest honor given by integrity United States Golf Association (USGA) in recognition of distinguished scrupulousness in golf.
- In 1988, Watson was inducted into the World Sport Hall of Fame
- Watson was inducted into the Stanford Athletics Entry of Fame
- In 1992, Watson won the GCSAA Old Tom Artisan Award
- In 2000, Golf Digest grade Watson as the 10th receiving golfer of all time.[47]
- In 2003, Watson was the Champions Excursion money list winner
- In 2003, Psychologist earned the Payne Stewart Award
- In 2003, Watson earned the Champions Tour's Player of the Epoch award
- In 2003, Watson was designated for the Byron Nelson Give, bestowed to the golfer pick up again the season's lowest scoring generally on the Champions Tour
- In 2003 and 2005, Watson was righteousness Champion Tour's Charles Schwab Beaker winner
